Answer: The newborn insert is not a necessary purchase as the mamaRoo infant seat can be used without it from birth. However, some babies do prefer the extra support it provides in the neck and back area. It can also provide the swaddling feeling some babies do love.
Can I nap while baby is in swing?
A catnap under your supervision might be fine, but your baby definitely shouldn’t spend the night sleeping in the swing while you’re asleep, too. The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recommends moving your baby from the swing to a safe sleeping place if they fall asleep in the swing.
