8th Annual BMC Flea
March 26, 2017
We celebrated our 8th Annual BMC Flea at the Burlingame Recreation Center. We had 22 vendors selling everything from newborn clothes, strollers, toys, to adult and maternity clothes, even fitness passes. Families were lined up even before doors opened to get great deals on the hot selling items. Soon-to-be parents were able to see the benefits of joining BMC and were able to take items off their registry!
Our annual book exchange was a success and books that weren’t bought or exchanged were donated to Parca. Overall, between table fees, admission, and the book exchange we raised over $2000 dollars for the following charities: Able Closet, Home and Hope, and CORA (Community Overcoming Relationship Abuse). Additionally, many unsold items were donated to Parca.
Special thanks to the Helping Hands Team (Sasai Zhang, Nicole Lapidus, Sarah Buchanan, and Sherri Rose) for all their hard work in organizing the event. Thank you also to the volunteers that helped with set-up, clean-up and admissions. We couldn’t have done it without you! We look forward to next year’s BMC Flea!
